City: Barcelona, Spain. Pasadizo de San Ginés, 5, 28013 Madrid, Spain
Open and serving since 1894, they say San Ginés Chocolateria first became famous for serving chocolate and churros to people as they exited the theatre nearby. The San Ginés Chocolatería, located halfway between Puerta del Sol and the Teatro Real, is tucked away in an alley, off the beaten path from the typical hustle and bustle. As one of the oldest chocolate shops in the capital, it is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you can get your chocolate and churros fix at any time of day or night. Lines can be long, but after tasting practically every churro place in town, this one is definitely worthy of the wait.
Churros, Hot Chocolate, Horchata, Milk, Café con Leche
*one of the best churros we have had in Spain. Light, not too sweet, just perfect for dipping with the chocolate
Lines can be long, but they do move fairly fast.
